Description: The Level 1 Textbooks present 23 lessons ranging from Greetings, Family, Dates and Time, Hobbies, Visiting Friends, Making Appointments, Studying Chinese, School Life, Shopping, Talking about the Weather, Dining, Seeing a Doctor, Dating, Renting an Apartment, At the Airport, and more. Pinyin is included in all lessons in Level 1. At end of each lesson, there are pattern drills, pronunciation exercises and an English text of the dialogues. In Level 1 Part 1, each dialogue is displayed with pinyin on one page and Chinese characters on a facing page, while in Level 1 Part 2, pinyin texts can be found at the end of each lesson. The basic format in Level 2 is the same as in Level 1, but texts and grammar in Level 2 become increasingly more complex.
